EAD 對照表
本附錄包念三個對照表，以便比較EAD元素與ISAD(G)[1]及MARC21這兩個相關後設資料標準或架構的定義。使用這些對照表或可以便於不同後設資料工具間資料的對應，例如在匯出EAD查檢工具中的資料以建立MARC21的記錄。欲得知更多EAD與其他標準之間的關係，詳各見EAD實用指南各節。
以下為三個對照表：
製作這些表格時，採取的是保守的立場。換句話說，只有義意明確相同的資料元素才被收錄。略去其他大致相同而可被使用者定義的元素，因為這些對應有模糊或不確定的感覺。
下表中若有兩個並列的EAD元素，則第二個元素是第一個元素中的子元素。例如：「<控制查詢標目><人名>」，表示<人名>元素必須被包含在<控制查詢標目>的巢狀結構中。

即便足以產生一筆不完整的MARC21記錄，表A.3也並不包含MARC21中所有可能對應到EAD元素的欄位，僅將焦點放在最明顯與最有用的欄位上。此外，亦不包今MARC21的欄位中包含資料代碼者，例如記錄首部及指引段，因為這類的資料似乎不宜以以MARC21中的型態被放在檢索工具中。
請注意，EAD查檢工具與MARC21記錄的對應，描述的是同一件藏品，並非以MARC21來描述EAD查檢工具的本體。本表僅包含MARC21中直接、邏輯上對應到EAD元素的欄位。
右邊欄位表列的EAD元素，在某些狀態下，會指定到被包含於另一元素的子元素。部分範例中，右欄提供了可選擇的表列，讓檔案學者自行決定哪一個最適合為資料編碼。
本表最有用的狀況，是EAD資料以最高層的<did>或其他同級的元素，如<傳記或歷史>、<範圍內容>及<控制查詢標目>標誌時，可完全對應到MARC21中的欄位。因為多數的典藏單位僅建立「館藏級」的MARC21書目記錄。從EAD查檢工具中對應更多詳細的部分，理論上可行，但在實作上沒有太大作用。
請注意，EAD資訊被對應到MARC21欄位時，需要權威控制的資料必須採取控制檢索的形式，以便匯成正確的MARC21記錄。

[2] 在MARC21書目中，在555段裡的附註可著錄含EAD檢索工具，但並無特定的EAD元素對映到這一段。其他檢索工具可以被記錄在<其他檢索工具>裡。
