Rare Books Thematic Group

This group consists of institutions with rare book collections in NDAP; it aims to share their experience in the digitizing the documents and images of rare books, to promote the development and integration as well as practical tests of related digitization technology, and to draw up related norms and standards, in order that the project may be carried out smoothly.

Its main tasks are as follows:
1. to integrate the metadata and demands related to content analysis;
2. to propose and to recommend the requirement of information technology;
3. to draw up related standards and regulations;
4. to investigate and discuss related issues on digital archives of rare books.
