From 1929 to 1943, the researchers of the Institute of History and Philoloy, Academia Sinica had the first survey in China around the south, southwest and northeast areas of China. They collected and perserved lots of relics, and documents and photos of the minority gropus of China in modern times. These materials are very improtnant to the study of history and anthroplopy.
