Anthropology Thematic Group

The Anthropology group of the NDAP mainly digitizes Taiwanese Indigenous People's objects and items of minority groups across the south, southwest and northeast areas of China. The data includes photos, archives, artifacts, videos and sound collections, etc. In 2004, the Institute of History and Philology of Academia Sinica , the Institute of Ethnology of Academia Sinica, Aletheia University, the Department of Anthropology of National Museum of Natural Sciences, the Department of Anthropology of National Taiwan University, and the National Museum of History join in this group.

Its main tasks are as follows:
1. to implement the metadata of the Anthropology Group, to assist translating the related materials from the metadata group and working on the questionnaires in the future;
2. to participate actively in international organizations;
3. to try discussing on the three aspects of digital archives, knowledge, and usage, as well as medium establishment with system engineers and programming specialists in clear outlines:
4. to give priority to ¡§Indigenous Peoples in Taiwan¡¨ and ¡§Southwestern Peoples in China¡¨ in its contents and subjects.
