Zoology Thematic Group

The Zoological group of NADP will mainly digitize the specimens of all kinds of native animals in Taiwan, including endemic species. The database includes the detailed information about all cataloged specimens deposited in different museums, especially type specimens. The basic information, distribution, species or ecological photos, videos of its natural status as well as relevant literature cited are also included.

In 2004, the Institute of Zoology of Academia Sinica, the National Museum of Natural Science, and the Department of Zoology & Department of Entomology of National Taiwan University, the National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium, National Taiwan Ocean University, and the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute are joined in this group.
