National Archives Digitization Project of The National Museum of Natural Science

The collection of the National Museum of National Science(NMNS)includes: zoological collections (such as insects, other invertebrate, amphibians, reptilias, birds, mammals and so on), algal collections ( diatoms ), fungal collection ( lichen and fungi ), botanical collections (including vascular plants and nonvascular plants), geological collections (such as minerals, rocks and fossils collections) and anthropological collections (such as archaeological collections and Taiwan aboriginal objects). Participating in the NDAP, this project will digitize the representative archives held in the NMNS. In this way, those resources and archives could not just only be preserved but also be reused for diversity applications.

By executing this project, the NMNS anticipates that we could elevate ourselves to become the role of the national natural science and culture digital knowledge center, and the major natural history and human cultural history content provider and generator of our country.
