Institute of History and Philosophy Academia Sinica has great amount of Taiwan archaeological data. These specimens are very important to the researches in Taiwan and worldwide. The Institute is planning to set up a Taiwan Archaeological Display Room in the Taiwan Archaeological Museum. By constructing a digital virtual museum through the digital Taiwan Archaeological Display Room, it can become the tool for communication between academic researches and the open space for social education. The Taiwan Archaeological Digital Museum presents archaeology in Taiwan through various subjects (Taiwan prehistoric culture level, archaeological site restoration, the display of research subjects, the display of artifact samples, Taiwan prehistoric human life restoration) on the Internet. Based on these culture heritages found through many years, we expect to digitally preserve, process and collect these Taiwan archaeological data using information technology.
