The first version of Chinese Antiquities Metadata SPEC for National Palace Museum announced.

MAAT completes Matadata SPEC v0.2 for Academia Historica project.

June 28 MAAT completes Chinese Antiquities Metadata SPEC version 0.4 for National Palace Museum.
June 21 MAAT presents an analysis report on core elements for rare book (I) at the second meeting of rare book group.
  June 20 MAAT completes Chinese Antiquities Metadata SPEC version 0.4 for National Palace Museum.
June 18

MAAT completes "Mapping Taiwan Aborigine Metadata Set with CIDOC, DC and CDWA" to be a referencial document for the Anthropology group.

  June 10 Person name authority Metadata SPEC v0.1 for Academia Historica project completed.
  June 6 Metadata SPEC v0.3 for the Digital Archives of Rubbings Archaic Texts completed.

The Chinese version of Encoded Archival Description (EAD) elements now complete.

The first version of Person name authority Metadata SPEC for National Palace Museum announced.

MAAT completes Chinese Antiquities Metadata SPEC version 0.3 for National Palace Museum and Metadata SPEC version 0.2 for Grand Secretariat Archives.

May 17 The updated Duties of staff of the MAAT (in Chinese) is here.
May 10 The MAAT has moved to the Institute of Information Science, so the telephone numbers for all staffs are changed. Please check the "Introduction" part to see each member's new telephone number.
  May 3 MAAT completes Matadata SPEC v0.1 for Academia Historica project.
  May 2 MAAT completes Person name Metadata SPEC v0.1 for National Palace Museum projects.

April 22 The working schedule of supported projects in 2001-2002 are available on the web. Please click "Projects" icon on the frontpage, then enter each project's webpage and check the "Status of the project" part.
  April 18 MAAT completes "Chinese Antiquities Metadata SPEC version 0.2 for National Palace Museum".
April 8 "The referential elements of place name authority file" (in Chinese) is now available on the web. The "referential elements" are mainly based on and translated from MARC21 Authority Data and CDWA Place/Location Identification. It can be a referential elements when projects propose their own authority files.
April 2 "Duties of staff of the MAAT" (in Chinese) is now available on the web. This table will present all projects that the MAAT has been undertaken and who is responsible for which part of projects and whom to contact with.
April 2 The result of the survey on the requirement for metadata technology among all projects which the MAAT is supporting has been worked out. Please check "The results of the metadata technology requirement questionnaire".
  March 29 MAAT completes "Person name authority Metadata SPEC version 0.3 for Institute of History and Philology projects".
March 1 The website of Metadata Architecture and Application Team (MAAT) is now publicised. The contents are ongoing updated. If you have any suggestion to this web, please email to us: metadata@gate.sinica.edu.tw.
Feb. 22 The due day for the projects to reply the questionnaire.
  Feb. 8 Metadata team emailed the questionnaire to the supported projects to survey the requirement of metadata technology.(Questionnaire, in Chinese)
  Jan. 24 Metadata team invited Miss Lin, Yu-yun from the Museum of the Institute of History and Philology in Academia Sinica to give a talk (powerpoint, in Chinese).
